Thanks, Jeff. Good reminder. Hard for me to find locally grown here, but the encouragement helps. I am still uneducated on the different types of sugar and how they affect the body. I know all cells require ‘sugar’ to function. There is a lot of talk that fruit sugar causes triglycerides. Some say all sugar is alike ultimately. Many are absolutely sure that complex carbs are the best. Those foods require cooking mostly so the raw folks have a problem with that. I have done a lot of reading and my diet has gone back and forth with the various ideas. They all make sense. I want to avoid blood vessel/heart problems. Although I was raw for a couple years and lost a lot of weight, I put on a lot of belly fat. Now I struggle with what to do for the ultimate health. I am a little older, so can’t play around with it.

I have read everything I can find on the subject on the net, but still don’t have a clear understanding of the health implications of how it all works. I don’t eat any oil. Some avocado, and a little chia seeds and occasionally some nuts, but not much. Hope you can help. I’d love to see some interviews and hear you do a comprehensive talk on it. Thanks, Lynn

I myself am not an expert but I highly recommend reading Dr. Gabriel Cousins books on the matter. He basically believes that people should eat low glycemic foods for optimal health.
